VIP System Introduction

Developer Notes

A brand-new VIP system has been introduced to MapleStory, designed to enhance your gameplay experience with exciting new features. With access to VIP-only channels and the Quick Pass, you’ll be able to enjoy smoother adventures and faster progress than ever before.
In addition, you can now earn VIP Points whenever you purchase Cash items. These points can be redeemed not only for in-game rewards but also for real-world items, offering more value and flexibility with every purchase.
The VIP system also comes with practical benefits such as discounts on Star Force enhancement costs, as well as daily and weekly Quick Pass options that help streamline your gameplay.
Finally, don’t miss the chance to explore the VIP-exclusive lounge, where even more special perks and rewards await. Step inside and make the most of your VIP status!



The VIP System is a system in MapleStory that allows you to receive special benefits based on the amount of cash you spend.

Various benefits are prepared for VIP members and these benefits become more powerful as your tier increases.



VIP Points



  • VIP Point is a currency exclusive to the VIP System that can be obtained when purchasing items from the Cash Shop.
  • Your VIP Tier is determined by calculating the VIP Points you have obtained and you can use these points to purchase various items from the VIP Point Shop.
  • Even if you are not a VIP member, you will obtain 10 VIP Points for every 1,000 Cash spent.
  • Ratio of VIP Points obtained by VIP Tier are as follows:
    1. VIP Silver: 10 VIP Points per 1,000 Cash spent.
    2. VIP Gold: 20 VIP Points per 1,000 Cash spent.
    3. VIP Diamond: 30 VIP Points per 1,000 Cash spent.
    4. VIP Royal: 60 VIP Points per 1,000 Cash spent.
    5. VIP Royal Black: 60 VIP Points per 1,000 Cash spent.
  • VIP Points obtained will expire at midnight on 31st December of the following year.
  • When purchasing cash items through Gift function, you will not be able to obtain VIP Points. (Updated 20 Aug, 1806hrs)



VIP Tier

  • Tier achievement is calculated in real time based on VIP Points. You will Tier Up to the next Tier once you have obtained enough VIP Points.
  • When you achieve a new tier, the tier retention condition VIP Points will be reset, and you will need to obtain VIP Points during the new tier retention period in order to retain your tier.
  • VIP Points required to retain your VIP Tier is calculated based on the VIP Points obtained over the past 100 days and the tier is reflected at midnight.
  • If the required VIP Points are not obtained during the VIP Tier retention period, the tier will be lowered by one.
  • If the tier is lowered, you must obtain the required VIP Points for the next tier from that moment onward to achieve the next tier.

  • Calculated based on cumulative payment amounts without a separate calculation period.
  • No separate retention condition. The VIP Silver tier is retained even if no additional VIP Points are obtained.

  • Obtain 6,000 VIP points.
  • Calculated based on VIP Points obtained over the past 100 days.
  • Obtain 12,000 VIP Points over 100 days.
  • If the retention condition is not met, the tier will be demoted to Silver after achieving the tier for 100 days.
    • Diamond
  • Obtain 18,000 VIP points.
  • Calculated based on VIP Points obtained over the past 100 days.
  • Obtain 36,000 VIP Points over 100 days.
  • If the retention condition is not met, the tier will be demoted to Gold after achieving the tier for 100 days.
    • Royal
  • Obtain 87,000 VIP points.
  • Calculated based on VIP Points obtained over the past 100 days.
  • Obtain 210,000 VIP Points over 100 days.
  • If the retention condition is not met, the tier will be demoted to Diamond after achieving the tier for 100 days.
    • Royal Black
  • Top 20 users are selected based on cash payment amount in each of the first and second halves of the year.
  • First half of the year: Selected on 1st January (Calculation period: 1st July ~ 31st December).
  • Second half of the year: Selected on 1st July (Calculation period: 1st January ~ 30th June).
  • Selected from members with VIP Royal tier or higher as of the selection date.
  • No separate retention condition. The tier is retained if the member is selected among the top 20 based on payment amount in the next half-year period.
  • If the Royal Black tier is not retained in the next half, the tier is changed to Royal.

  • Each item inside the VIP Special Gift can be claimed once per character with the exception of Ring of Clan, EXP Boost Ring (15%) and Prepared Pendant of the Spirit which can only be received once per MapleID.
  • Items received from VIP Special Gift - Silver are Permanent.
  • Items received from VIP Special Gift - Gold/Diamond/Royal/Royal Black will expires on the last day of the VIP tier duration at 2359hrs.
